A data-driven narratives skeleton pattern recognition from accident reports dataset for human-and-organizational-factors analysis

Accidents in the process industry involve several interacting factors, including human and organizational factors (HOFs). A long-standing obstacle to HOFs analysis is lack of data. Accident reports are an essential data source to learn from the past and contain HOFs-related data, but they are usually unstructured text in a not standardized format. Some studies have explored the extraction of information automatically from accident reports based on Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques. However, they were not dedicated to HOFs. Risk communication is considered an essential pillar in safety and risk science. This research develops a HOFs-focused risk communication framework based on the NLP techniques that can support risk assessment and mitigation. The proposed approach automatically extracts the target groups oriented “Who, When, Where, Why” (4Ws) information from accident reports.This framework was applied to explore the eMARS database. The results show that the “4Ws” skeleton of narratives has appreciated performance in pattern recognition and holistic information analysis. The graphical representation interfaces are designed to display the features of HOFs-related accidents, which can better be communicated to the sharp-end operators and decision-makers.

内容依托教学在高职商务英语专业的应用效果研究

选取47名高职商务英语专业的学生为研究对象,采用教学前后对比的方式,考察内容依托教学对学生英语能力、学习兴趣及时代意识的影响。研究表明,除写作能力外,通过内容依托教学学生的英语能力有很大提高,尤其是阅读能力。此外,内容依托教学还提升了学生的学习兴趣,以及跨时代、跨学科的学习意识。     

Review of Russian language studies on radionuclide behaviour in agricultural animals: 3. Transfer to muscle

Over 150 publications reporting studies conducted in the former USSR were reviewed to provide transfer coefficients (F_f) to the muscle of domestic animals from experiments using chronic administration, often for long timescales in large scale experiments. Only a few of these studies were made available in the English language literature or taken into account in international reviews. The values derived have been compared with expected values reported by the IAEA's Handbook of parameter values for the prediction of radionuclide transfer in temperate environments (TRS 364) where possible. The information presented here has been used in the current updating of parameters recommended for environmental assessments by the IAEA. Many of the reported values are for Sr due to the Mayak accident and Cs due to the Chernobyl accident. Nevertheless, the reported data for a wide range of radionuclides, in particular for Ru, Sb, and Zn markedly improve the extent of available data.     

Decision support for sustainable manufacturing using decision guidance query language

Sustainability has become a very significant research topic as it impacts many different manufacturing industries. Therefore, the technologies for monitoring, analysing, evaluating and optimising the sustainability performance of manufacturing processes and systems are very critical for decision makers on the shop floor. This paper introduces a decision guidance management system that provides actionable recommendations through quantitative analysis of the sustainability measures of manufacturing processes and systems based on life cycle assessment. The system determines decision preferences through dynamically collected data and decision makers' responses, taking into account the prevailing constraints. Optimal decisions can be derived using mathematical and constraint programming. By using decision guidance query language, this methodology allows users to make optimal decisions without an extensive mathematical or operations research background. Knowledge of relational databases is sufficient for a user to formulate the optimisation problem and obtain optimal solutions. The methodology is demonstrated with a machining operation case study, in which a list of sustainability metrics are identified and sustainability modelling methods are proposed. Important sustainable machining performance measures are optimised, resulting in actionable recommendations.     

浅谈秦皇岛外语语言软环境的优化策略

秦皇岛作为著名的沿海旅游城市,外语语言环境作为旅游软环境的一个重要因素直接影响着整个旅游产业的综合竞争力。鉴于此,对秦皇岛市外语语言软环境进行调查摸底。调查结果表明,旅游景区标示语及城市公示语的翻译存在不同程度的问题,旅游从业人员总体素质不高,市民的外语能力普遍偏低。以调查结果为依托,从政府导向、行业把关、全民参与三方面提出了优化秦皇岛市旅游业外语语言软环境的建议。     

基于Adam优化深度神经网络快速确定瓦斯抽采半径*

为解决煤矿瓦斯有效抽采半径难以快速准确确定的问题,采用基于Adam算法优化DNN（深度神经网络）方法来预测瓦斯抽采半径。查阅文献共收集已得到验证的970组数据集,每组数据选取煤层瓦斯初始渗透率、钻孔直径、抽采时间、地应力、煤层初始瓦斯压力作为预测模型的5个特征量,有效抽采半径作为目标输出值。接着预测模型进行不断学习和训练,最终训练得到1个最优的瓦斯有效抽采半径预测模型。利用训练好的最优预测模型结合Python语言开发出计算有效抽采半径的软件,并使用该软件在四季春煤矿和鹤煤六矿进行有效抽采半径预测的工程实例研究,验证该软件预测抽采半径的实用性和准确性。研究结果表明:通过使用开发的软件,可快速且较准确地计算出矿井瓦斯有效抽采半径,可为暂不具备现场测试条件的矿井抽采设计提供一定的参考依据。     

英语写作中Chinglish的成因分析

在母语环境中学习外语的过程始终存在母语的干扰。针对大学英语写作中出现的Chinglish——中式英语的现象，从皮亚杰的发生认识论、母语负迁移及中西思维模式差异等方面分析了中式英语的成因。揭示其成因对于大学英语教师改进写作教学具有重要意义，从而更好地帮助学生用英语思维模式写出地道的英文。     

用VB语言编制水环境管理决策支持系统

在分析国内外环境管理决策支持系统（ＥＤＳＳ）开发现状的基础上，提出了采用Ｍｉｃｒｏｓｏｆｔ Ｖｉｓｕａｌ Ｂａｓｉｃ来开发水环境管理决策支持系统（ＷＥＭＤＳＳ）的方法，并利用程序语言编制了广东省潭江的ＷＥＭＤＳＳ。实例研究表明，充分利用ＶＢ编程语言的特点，可以快速方便地完成ＷＥＭＤＳＳ的结构设计和实现系统的各项功能。
